Manufacturing Engineer – Electrical / Electronics Focus
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)
Role: Full‑Time
We’re hiring a Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical Focus) to support and improve electronics manufacturing processes for high‑reliability products. This is a hands‑on, plant‑embedded role working closely with design, test, and operations to drive manufacturability, quality, and cost performance.
What You’ll Do
- Support and improve electronics manufacturing processes (soldering, joining, hand assembly)
- Apply Lean and statistical tools to improve yield, flow, and COGS
- Partner with design engineering during new product and design changes
- Develop manufacturing documentation, work instructions, and procedures
- Design and support manufacturing and test fixtures
- Support capital equipment selection and justification
- Lead or support process and product improvement initiatives
- Provide day‑to‑day engineering support on the manufacturing floor
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years in manufacturing engineering (electronics or electromechanical preferred)
- Experience with hand‑assembled, soldered electronic components
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing documentation and process control
- Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
- Familiarity with PCB assemblies, SMT, and test environments
- ERP experience and tools like AutoCAD or Minitab a plus
- Ability to work with ITAR‑controlled data (U.S. person requirement)
