Position: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: East Aurora, New York
Salary: $75,235.00 - $86,167.29 per year

Responsibilities:
- Partner with machinists to answer questions and resolve issues during the machining of highly complex aerospace components
- Review specifications and collaborate with design and quality engineering teams to resolve questions and product deviations
- Work closely with scheduling teams to maintain optimal production flow and job sequencing
- Support quoting efforts and prepare first-pass processing methods for complex aerospace components
- Develop, write, test, simulate, and optimize CNC programs using CAD/CAM technology and methodologies
- Validate completed programs through simulation and testing using Vericut
- Develop and document machine setups, tooling configurations, and machining processes
- Provide updated CNC programs, setup sheets, tooling lists, and offset documentation for machining operations
- Lead manufacturing teams through successful execution of products from preparation through shop floor support
- Perform machine prove-outs to validate processes prior to production release
- Create and approve final work instructions for development and production hardware
- Generate cost estimates for new hardware and maintain quoting documentation
- Participate in and lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) meetings
- Support production activities by resolving tooling, machine, and process-related issues
- Implement lean manufacturing improvements to support schedule and cost objectives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field required
- Associate degree with direct related experience will also be considered
- 3+ years of manufacturing experience involving heavy CNC machining and programming required
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience may be substituted for a degree
- Strong machine shop background with knowledge of tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining methods
- Hands-on experience operating CNC Mills, Lathes, EDM, or Grinding equipment
- Proven experience machining parts from start to finish using manual turning and milling operations preferred
- Experience with CAD/CAM software including NX, Mastercam, Esprit, and Mazatrol
- Ability to work closely with shop floor personnel to troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
