Key Responsibilities

Project & Process Leadership

  • Lead cross-functional improvement projects focused on material flow, inventory control, and overall operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams to develop and implement practical, high-impact solutions
  • Provide technical leadership during manufacturing space expansion and product line relocation initiatives

Manufacturing Engineering & Cost Control

  • Design and coordinate tooling and fixtures used in manufacturing operations
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives including consumable CNC tooling, raw material usage, labor efficiency, and variable overhead reduction
  • Support continuous evaluation and optimization of manufacturing processes in a CNC metals environment

Data-Driven Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities
  • Implement data-driven solutions that improve productivity, reduce waste, and lower operating costs
  • Drive measurable performance improvements through structured problem-solving and performance metrics

Lean & Operational Excellence

  • Lead and sustain continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies, including but not limited to:
  • Value Stream Mapping
  • Kaizen events
  • Cycle Time vs. TAKT Time analysis
  • 5S and Visual Management
  • Cell and line design
  • Material flow optimization
  • TPM (Total Productive Maintenance)
  • Root Cause and corrective action methodologies

New Product Integration

  • Support new product introductions with a focus on manufacturability, process control, equipment capability, and scalability
  • Partner with engineering and operations teams to ensure smooth transition from development into production
  • Assess equipment, tooling, and staffing requirements to support new and existing product lines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience (5+ years) in manufacturing environments such as:
  • Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering
  • Operations or Supply Chain
  • Quality or Process Improvement
  • Hands-on experience in CNC metals manufacturing is required
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and influence leaders and teams in the deployment of continuous improvement strategies
  • Strong leadership, organizational, project management, and interpersonal skills
  • CAD experience required; SolidWorks experience preferred
