Manufacturing Area Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Work Schedule: 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 1:30 PM – 12:00 AM
Seeking a results-driven, hands-on manufacturing leader to supervise production operations, ensure quality, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.
Summary:
Responsible for coordinating and supervising manufacturing personnel and processes to safely produce and deliver quality products on schedule. Oversees daily operations, staffing, workflow, and performance while supporting broader business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and lead up to 20 employees, including hiring, training, performance management, and employee development
• Manage production scheduling, manpower planning, and workflow to meet customer delivery timelines
• Oversee quality processes including inspections, documentation, deviations, and ISO program adherence
• Partner cross-functionally with engineering, operations, sales, and vendors to resolve product, process, and quality issues
• Coordinate engineering change orders and ensure accuracy of production and order inputs
• Utilize SAP and MRP systems for production planning, inventory management, and material flow
• Drive Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives across operations
• Establish and improve production methods, equipment performance, and process efficiency
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and conduct routine safety inspections
• Analyze and resolve production and personnel issues while maintaining team performance and morale
Qualifications & Experience:
• Associate’s degree or equivalent technical training and/or relevant manufacturing experience
• Experience in manufacturing supervision, production scheduling, and inventory management
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, ISO standards, and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, 5S, problem-solving tools)
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred)
• Ability to interpret technical documents, procedures, and production data
• Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
• Regular exposure to a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical parts
• Occasional exposure to heights, fumes, airborne particles, outdoor conditions, vibration, and electrical hazards
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands; occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally
• Vision requirements include close, distance, color, depth perception, and focus adjustment
