Brighton House is a well-established private capital advisory firm specializing in primary fundraising, direct deal raises, and secondary advisory. With a broad client base across private equity, private credit, and real estate/real assets, we have raised and advised on over $26bn in client fundraises. As we continue to scale and expand our services, we are seeking a Managing Director to lead and drive capital raising efforts across primary, secondary, and direct/single asset opportunities.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an entrepreneurial, high-impact leader who is excited about the tremendous opportunity to join our senior leadership team and disrupt the private capital advisory space. This is a chance to take a seat at the table and actively contribute to our vision of challenging the industry’s incumbents and positioning the firm for long-term success.

You will be responsible for advising clients on their fundraising strategies and leading capital raising efforts for primary funds and direct equity investments as well as GP-led secondary transactions. This is an incredible opportunity to shape the future of the firm, grow the business, and be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where your contributions will directly influence the firm's trajectory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Primary Fundraising: Lead capital raising efforts for primary fundraises across buyouts, growth, credit, and real assets strategies, sourcing investment from institutional investors (pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, etc.) and family offices in North America, Europe, and other regions including Asia and the Middle East.

  • Direct/Co-Investments: Raise equity capital for sponsor-led buyouts and minority equity opportunities, with a focus on mid-market, growth, and strategic investments.

  • Secondary Advisory: Execute both multi-asset and single-asset continuation vehicles on behalf of private equity clients.

  • Investor Relationships: Deepen relationships with leading institutional investors and family offices, ensuring a strong network for current and future capital raises.

  • Client Advisory: Advise clients on capital formation processes, including strategy, messaging, positioning, and investor communications. Ensure that all investor materials and messaging are compelling and aligned with market expectations.

  • Capital Formation Process Management: Manage the full capital formation process, including outreach to investors, scheduling meetings, facilitating investor due diligence, and closing deals.

  • Capital Raising Targets: Raise a minimum of $100m in new investor capital annually, contributing to the firm’s continued growth.

Candidate Profile:

  • Experience: 10+ years of capital raising experience within private markets including a verifiable track record of capital formation within fundraising, co-investments, and/or secondary advisory.

  • Investor Network: Established relationships with institutional investors (pension funds, endowments, insurance companies, etc.) and family offices, with an ability to expand this network further.

  • Sales & Client Management: Strong sales skills with the ability to manage client relationships, clearly communicate investment opportunities, and close deals effectively.

  • Licensing: Active Series 7 and 63 licenses preferred, though not required; the candidate can become registered after hire.

  • Technical Proficiency: Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Office software, with experience using CRM systems and customer tracking solutions.

  • Work Ethic & Attention to Detail: A rigorous work ethic, outstanding attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

This is a rare opportunity for a senior-level professional who thrives in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. You will join a team with a bold vision to disrupt the private capital advisory industry and challenge the status quo. If you're looking to be part of a firm with enormous potential, where your contributions will make a lasting impact, we would like to hear from you.
