The Senior Manager, Product is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, roadmap, and execution of enterprise data products that enable business value and decision-making. This role ensures data products are designed, built, and consumed in alignment with business objectives while delivering a high-quality, intuitive experience for diverse user personas across the organization.
The Senior Manager, Data Product partners closely with business leaders, data stewards, analytics teams, and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable, reusable, and well-governed data products. This is a product leadership role focused on outcomes, customer experience, and value realization—not a data ownership or stewardship function.
What you will do:
Data Product Strategy & Vision
- Define and own the data product vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap aligned with enterprise and domain-level business priorities.
- Translate business problems and opportunities into clearly defined data product value propositions.
- Establish success metrics and measurable outcomes for data products, including adoption, value delivery, and customer satisfaction.
Product Delivery & Lifecycle Management
- Oversee end-to-end execution of data products from ideation through launch, iteration, and retirement.
- Define how data products are built, documented, governed, and consumed across the enterprise.
- Prioritize product backlogs, balancing short-term delivery with long-term scalability and platform evolution.
- Ensure data products are designed for usability, trust, performance, and reuse.
Customer-Centered Design
- Develop a deep understanding of nontechnical and technical user personas, including their workflows, pain points, and decision needs.
- Apply strong customer empathy and user-centered thinking to data product design and prioritization.
- Maintain awareness of the total customer experience, ensuring data products integrate seamlessly into broader business processes and tools.
Stakeholder Partnership & Collaboration
- Partner closely with business leaders to ensure data products directly support strategic objectives and operational needs.
- Collaborate with data stewards, analytics engineers, data scientists, and platform teams for optimal product delivery.
- Clearly articulate product decisions, trade-offs, and value to executive and cross-functional audiences.
Governance & Enablement
- Align data product delivery with enterprise data governance, privacy, security, and quality standards.
- Ensure clear accountability models are in place across product, stewardship, and technology roles.
- Drive data product education, enablement, and adoption across the organization.

The Senior Manager, Data Product:
- Is accountable for product outcomes, user experience, and business value.
- Works in partnership with data stewards, business leads, and D&A technology teams to ensure trusted, well-managed, and effectively consumed data products.
What You Will Need:
Education and Experience
- 15+ years of experience in product management, data product management, analytics, or related discipline.
- Proven experience leading the strategy and delivery of complex data or analytics products at scale.
- Strong understanding of data ecosystems, including analytics, BI, data platforms, AI/ML products, and data governance concepts.
- Demonstrated ability to work with nontechnical stakeholders and translate business needs into product requirements.
- Excellent communication, influence, and stakeholder management skills.

It would be nice if you had:
- Experience operating in a modern data environment (e.g., cloud platforms- Azure, AWS etc., analytics engineering, self-service analytics).
- Familiarity with Agile product delivery methodologies. Scrum certification preferred.
- Previous experience managing product managers.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to connect data product decisions to measurable business outcomes.
