Navy Federal’s Office of Financial Opportunity (OFO) mission is to enable financial opportunity for all members, with a particular focus on members and communities who face the greatest barriers, including those with low-to-moderate incomes and other underserved groups. As part of the Military Affairs & Strategic Partnerships department, OFO drives amplification of Navy Federal’s commitment to military, veterans and their families.

  • Assist in driving a Financial Opportunity product portfolio in collaboration with teams and leadership in various Navy Federal business units and the Member Strategy Office
  • Assist in driving alignment and collaboration with business units (Bus), including Real Estate Lending
  • Bring expertise to inform design, execution, and ensure data-backed decision-making includes the underserved for financial opportunity priorities and Enterprise Strategy execution
  • Support the OFO team in delivering responsibility/accountability for Navy Federal’s Financial Opportunity strategy and initiatives
  • Be a thought leader on creative and flexible solutions for loan and financial services by identifying innovative technologies and analytical tools, relevant risks, and risk mitigation that can expand Navy Federal’s provision of banking services to the military and veteran community
  • Provide strategic recommendations to the OFO team and others regarding opportunities to expand and meet the needs of military communities to expand member growth and member services
  • Assist in the preparation of reports to Navy Federal’s executive team on the status and impact of Navy Federal’s financial opportunity initiatives
  • Build and foster relationships with business unit peers and enable/support business decisions through idea generation, thoughtful planning and execution, and strategic advising 
  • Establish credibility throughout Navy Federal as an effective collaborator on the development of financial solutions for diverse and underserved populations 
  • Drive enterprise change and learning by embracing new, flexible, and agile approaches to improve business performance and member service 
  • Develop, iterate, and execute short-term and long-term financial opportunity strategies by leveraging analytics and providing insights into innovative industry practices
  • Leverage data to measure, track, and analyze the effectiveness of financial opportunity initiatives to report on progress and identify opportunities to inspire action, drive outcomes, and reinforce accountability throughout the organization 
  • Direct report to AVP, Portfolio Strategy, Financial Opportunity 
  • Perform other duties as assigned
