Manager, People Attorney Strategy

The ideal candidate for this position will succeed in this role if they have both knowledge and technical depth about the company and the industry. This is essential as they will be a central person in the decision making process, working with multiple individuals across different teams when necessary. As a result, they will also be overseeing specific personnel.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary advisor to Practice Leaders, Partners, and Attorneys on people strategy initiatives
  • Coordinate key talent cycles including performance reviews, partner/counsel selection, and pipeline meetings
  • Oversee internal communications and align departmental initiatives with firmwide priorities
  • Manage customized career development programs for attorneys
  • Oversee associate and counsel evaluation processes, ensuring meaningful feedback and development plans


Requirements:

  • 6+ years of experience in a law firm or professional services environment
  • Background in talent strategy, attorney development, practice management, HR, or related areas
  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills
  • Experience with budgeting, workforce planning, and resource allocation
  • Ability to lead change initiatives and influence organizational culture
  • Partner with staffing leaders and practice management on resource allocation and utilization planning
  • Provide leadership with updates on staffing needs, utilization trends, and operational priorities
