We are currently seeking a Manager, Cremation Operations, to join our team in Memphis, TN.
Your Role at Batesville:
As a Manager, Cremation Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the cremation manufacturing and distribution facility. This role ensures efficient workflow, manages staff performance, upholds quality standards, maintains production schedules, and controls operational costs to meet organizational goals.

- The expected base salary range for this role is $98,000-$115,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to qualifications, skills, experience, and location.

What You’ll Do:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of production and administrative staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Monitor and maintain quality standards for all cremation products, ensuring compliance with company and industry requirements.
- Reviews operating metrics while developing methods and procedures to improve them.
- Analyze and manage operational costs, implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct regular staff training, performance evaluations, and address personnel issues as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments, including sales, scheduling and logistics, to ensure seamless order fulfillment and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, engineering & procurement, to ensure seamless new product introductions.
- Implement, standardize and sustain systems across all locations
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and product quality.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, inventory, and staff schedules.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in manufacturing, production management, or a similar supervisory role.
- Experience with pick, pack, and ship operations; implementing industry best practices
- Formal lean training preferred
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices and cost control methods.
- Proficiency with scheduling software and inventory management systems.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Work Environment:
- This position is based in our Memphis operation, requiring hands-on management and frequent interaction with staff and other departments. While based in Memphis, this role will have oversight for our 3 other sites across North America. Travel of 25-50% to visit other sites, supplier or customer meetings will be required.
