Medix is currently seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist for an exciting opportunity at a premier healthcare facility in the Hudson Valley area. We are looking for a dedicated clinician to join a cohesive team of Lead, Senior, and Staff technologists. This is a contract/travel assignment where you will represent Medix while working on-site at our client’s state-of-the-art diagnostic centers.

Job Responsibilities

  • Clinical Excellence: Perform high-quality 2D and 3D mammography (tomosynthesis) and general radiological procedures according to institutional protocols.
  • Patient Care: Greet and interact with patients in a professional manner, offering detailed explanations of procedures and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment.
  • Procedural Support: Assist radiologists with stereotactic core biopsies, including patient setup and ensuring all pre- and post-procedure documentation is complete.
  • Diagnostic Quality: Evaluate the quality of medical images before submission to the radiologist and consult with clinical staff regarding questionable orders.
  • Equipment & Compliance: Operate and maintain GE Senographe Pristina equipment. Perform daily QA, maintain equipment logs, and ensure compliance with MQSA reporting standards.
  • Workflow: Manage a caseload of 12–20 patients per shift, including screenings, diagnostics, and biopsies.
  • Collaboration: Utilize EPIC EMR and VUEPACS for patient records and archiving; work closely with the imaging team to resolve safety or experience concerns.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Mammography.
  • Licensure: Active New York State (NYS) Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Certification: ARRT(R) and Mammography (M) certification required.
  • Life Support: Current BLS certification.
  • Skills: Proficiency in stereotactic biopsies and 3D tomosynthesis. Experience with EPIC and GE equipment is preferred.
  • Flexibility: Ability to float between two local facilities
