Job Opportunity: Contract Mammography Technologist

Location: New York (NY)

Facility Type: Screening, Diagnostic, and Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) Center

Start Date: ASAP, based on interview and offer timeline

Length of Assignment: 3 months, 13 weeks with possible extension

Schedule: Monday–Thursday 7:30 am–4:30 pm; Friday 6:30 am–3:30 pm

State License: New York State License

Pay: Competitive compensation packages including premium hourly rates and applicable travel stipends are available; specific details will be personalized and discussed during the recruiter interview. (Weekly gross pay around $2500-$2800)

Job Description Medix is currently seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist for a travel assignment at one of our partner facilities. In this role, you will work as a clinician dedicated to providing high-quality patient care within a specialized breast imaging center. You will join a collaborative team of technologists, including a lead tech, to ensure efficient clinical operations and accurate diagnostic results.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography exams using Hologic Dimensions equipment.
  • Utilize Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS) technology as required by facility protocols.
  • Manage a steady patient volume, averaging 22–30 exams per day.
  • Maintain clinical documentation and ensure compliance with all imaging safety standards.
  • Collaborate with the on-site lead technologist and clinical team to provide a seamless patient experience.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • ARRT (M) certification.
  • Active New York State License.
  • Proficiency with Hologic Dimensions equipment.

Preferred Skills

  • 2+ years of professional experience in mammography.
