We’re working with a leading manufacturing company in Warsaw, Indiana, seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join their growing team. This role is ideal for someone with hands‑on mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a production or industrial environment.


Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, building systems, and site utilities. You’ll carry out preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, support improvement projects, and assist with facilities and contractor coordination.


Responsibilities:


Equipment Maintenance

  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PM) and autonomous maintenance (AM)
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic control faults
  • Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
  • Maintain accurate service logs and maintenance records


Facilities & Building Systems

  • Support maintenance of buildings, utilities, and site infrastructure
  • Ensure proper operation of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, and security systems
  • Conduct routine inspections and report issues promptly
  • Assist with general site repairs and upkeep


Maintenance Planning & Documentation

  • Follow scheduled maintenance plans and complete tasks on time
  • Help improve PM routines and update documentation
  • Monitor equipment condition and report risks or deterioration


Parts & Inventory

  • Track maintenance consumables and spare parts
  • Communicate material needs to purchasing
  • Ensure critical spares are available to reduce downtime


Contractor & Project Support

  • Support and supervise external contractors on site
  • Ensure compliance with safety and site standards
  • Assist with outsourced maintenance or installation work
  • Contribute to small improvement projects to boost equipment reliability


Cross‑Functional Support

  • Assist production and engineering teams with troubleshooting
  • Provide basic technical support for IT or production systems when required
  • Work collaboratively across operations


About You:


  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and HVAC
  • Confident in fault‑finding and basic diagnostics
  • Familiar with preventive maintenance systems (PM/AM)
  • Able to read technical instructions and work orders
  • Basic PLC knowledge (desirable)
  • Good problem‑solving and hands‑on practical skills
  • Strong organisational and time‑management abilities
  • Competent with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
  • Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments (preferred)
  • Knowledge of investment casting (desirable)
  • 2–3 years’ experience in a maintenance technician or similar engineering role
