Maintenance Technician

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the performance, reliability, and continuous operation of CNC and production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting complex equipment issues, performing repairs, and driving corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC machinery, electrical and mechanical systems, automation, and preventive maintenance, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across production and engineering teams.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide troubleshooting and repair support for CNC and production equipment as needed
  • Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
  • Troubleshoot and repair issues involving:
  • Mechanical alignment
  • Electrical hardware
  • CNC controls and software
  • Peripheral devices
  • Automation systems
  • Perform repairs and maintenance involving:
  • Servo systems
  • PLCs
  • Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Interpret mechanical, electrical, and assembly drawings to support repairs and installations
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and technical reports as required
  • Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance and industrial troubleshooting
  • Strong experience with:
  • CNC controls
  • Servo systems
  • PLCs
  • Automation systems
  • Machine tool maintenance
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with knowledge of:
  • Precision measurement
  • Machine tool theory
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics
  • Experience with FANUC and/or SIEMENS CNC controls preferred
  • Prior technical writing or maintenance documentation experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
