Maintenance Technician
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support the performance, reliability, and continuous operation of CNC and production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for troubleshooting complex equipment issues, performing repairs, and driving corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in CNC machinery, electrical and mechanical systems, automation, and preventive maintenance, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively across production and engineering teams.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide troubleshooting and repair support for CNC and production equipment as needed
- Diagnose equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions
- Troubleshoot and repair issues involving:
- Mechanical alignment
- Electrical hardware
- CNC controls and software
- Peripheral devices
- Automation systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance involving:
- Servo systems
- PLCs
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Interpret mechanical, electrical, and assembly drawings to support repairs and installations
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and technical reports as required
- Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and safe work practices
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and proactively identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree in Electronics or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in CNC machine maintenance and industrial troubleshooting
- Strong experience with:
- CNC controls
- Servo systems
- PLCs
- Automation systems
- Machine tool maintenance
- Solid mechanical aptitude with knowledge of:
- Precision measurement
- Machine tool theory
- Hydraulics and pneumatics
- Experience with FANUC and/or SIEMENS CNC controls preferred
- Prior technical writing or maintenance documentation experience preferred
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a manufacturing environment with minimal supervision
