Position Summary


We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join a manufacturing team in Battle Creek, MI. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and installing electrical and mechanical systems that support production operations. The ideal candidate will have experience working in an industrial manufacturing environment and possess strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment and production machinery.

• Troubleshoot industrial electrical control systems down to the component level.

• Diagnose and repair issues involving motors, pumps, drives, relays, sensors, and power transmission systems.

• Troubleshoot and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot AC/DC drives and motor control circuits.

• Support PLC troubleshooting and equipment diagnostics.

• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.

• Respond to equipment breakdowns and perform timely repairs to minimize downtime.

• Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment.

• Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.


Required Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience troubleshooting industrial electrical control systems.

• Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment.

• Knowledge of motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, sensors, and industrial controls.

• Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.

• Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.

• Familiarity with power transmission equipment and bearings.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.


Preferred Qualifications

• Experience installing and troubleshooting AC/DC drives.

• Basic welding experience.

• Experience working with automated manufacturing equipment.
