Maintenance Technician II or Senior – Water Conservation/Irrigation Division
About the Job:As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform essential construction, maintenance, and repair duties, focusing on irrigation, mechanical, and electrical systems. This position requires experience in managing and repairing commercial irrigation systems, knowledge of large commercial landscape maintenance practices, and the ability to respond to emergency repairs.
Depending on the qualifications of the candidate selected, this position will be filled at either the Maintenance Technician II or Senior Maintenance Technician level.Learn more about the department: Parks, Rec & Cultural Services home page
Hiring range for the Maintenance Technician II position:$21.78 - $26.14 Hourly
Hiring range for the Maintenance Technician Senior position:$25.87 - $31.06 Hourly
This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year, and any furloughs subsequently approved.

Maintenance Technician II:Actively possess at least one certification from the following:
Irrigation Association – Certified Irrigation Technician (CIT)
National Association Landscape Professionals NALP or ALCC (Irrigation Technician cert)
American Society of Sanitary Engineering (ASSE) Backflow Tester License
Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor (CLIA)
Other similar certification(s) may be considered
