Overview

Graham Packaging Company is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II for our Muskogee, OK facility. This is a day shift position working Monday through Friday on 8-hour shifts.

In this role, the Maintenance Mechanic II is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing production equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operations. This position plays a key role in minimizing downtime, supporting production goals, and maintaining overall equipment performance.

This role requires a strong mechanical background and the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and plant systems to support safe and efficient operations

  • Perform emergency repairs during production and complete scheduled preventative maintenance activities

  • Diagnose equipment issues, replace or repair components, and make necessary adjustments to restore functionality

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs

  • Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders to complete maintenance tasks

  • Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform maintenance work

  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime

  • Assist in training production employees on proper equipment operation and basic maintenance practices

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment in compliance with all safety, quality, and GMP standards

  • Communicate equipment issues and unusual conditions to supervisors and team members

Qualifications

Experience in blow molding, plastics manufacturing, or similar high-speed production environments is strongly preferred.Qualifications
    • High School Diploma or GED required

    • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance or related field preferred

    • Minimum of 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred

    • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience troubleshooting and repairing production equipment

    • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems

    • Ability to read and interpret schematics, manuals, and work orders

    • Experience performing preventative maintenance and emergency repairs in a manufacturing environment

    • Basic computer skills for documentation and maintenance systems

    • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with production and maintenance teams

    • Reliable attendance and ability to work scheduled shifts
