Summary:

This role is responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting industrial manufacturing equipment, including plastic molding machinery, electrical controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and PLC-driven equipment. The technician will perform preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical failures, repair equipment, and support continuous production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The position requires strong hands-on troubleshooting skills, the ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, and experience working with heavy industrial equipment. Candidates must be comfortable responding to emergency breakdowns and maintaining equipment uptime in a manufacturing environment.

Work Schedule:

  • Overnight Shift: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM on a rotating schedule of 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, and 3 days off (36 hours one week, 48 hours the next), including alternating weekends and overtime as needed.
  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, with flexibility for schedule adjustments and overtime based on business needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and troubleshooting on production machinery, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical failures using tools such as multimeters, hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, service manuals, and PLC control systems.
  • Support emergency equipment repairs, participate in on-call responsibilities, and maintain compliance with all safety procedures.

Job Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED with industrial maintenance, electrical, or manufacturing maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming, electrical controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment while demonstrating advanced mechanical and electrical problem-solving skills.
  • Manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment experience required; plastics industry experience is preferred but not mandatory.
