Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of machinery and equipment within the facility. Key duties include the installation, repair, and preventative maintenance on a variety of machines, equipment, and facilities areas.

Hours are 11pm-7am

  • Use a variety of hand and power tools to ensure machines and equipment are running safely and efficiently.
  • Install, repair, and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment by completing routine and scheduled preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair machine failures and minor electrical problems.
  • Dismantle machinery and remove/replace defective parts.
  • Accurately complete work orders on time.
  • Ensure tools are clean and in working order.
  • Advise the appropriate personnel regarding inventory of spare parts and maintenance related supplies.
  • Utilize Fiix software to maintain accurate records and files of work performed along with materials and supplies
  • Collaborate with supervisors and other necessary team members to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Communicate with the management team regarding any updates on maintenance activities and equipment status.
  • Adherence to all regulatory and company safety rules, procedures, and policies; including PPE requirements. Required to follow all LO/TO procedures.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace. Must follow contamination-control cleaning guidelines.
  • Domestic travel up to 5% of time for training and other assignments.
  • Attend assigned training and safety sessions.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION, EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree in Industrial, Electrical, or Electronic Technology, or similar programs preferred and/or at least 3-5 years of experience in an equivalent position.
  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in an equivalent position; manufacturing experience and/or training is required.
  • Basic computer skills with ability to find, read, and locate documents as needed.
  • Intermediate English comprehension skills with the ability to speak, read, and write in the language with minimal difficulty.
  • Must be detail-orientated, highly accurate, and dependable.
  • Must be able to accurately convey information about machine performance, production progress, and any other issues encountered.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to work effectively and communicate positively with managers and employees within the organization.
  • Intermediate math skills with the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Must understand the concepts of algebra and geometry.
  • Must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moving machine parts.
  • Must be able to don appropriate gowning materials and wear PPE as defined by plant safety procedures.
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, stoop, bend and kneel as well as can lift, move and/or transport up to 50 pounds. Must be able to climb ladders.
  • Regularly reach with arms, hands, and fingers to perform jobs requiring manual dexterity.
  • Ability to visually see clearly from 20 in. to 20 feet with, or without, the use of corrective lenses.
  • Must be able to distinguish wiring colors.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include weekends, overtime, and/or emergency calls or coverage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 05-10% of time.
