About the role

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading maintenance technicians to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of processing, packaging, and utility equipment in a food manufacturing facility. This role focuses on preventative maintenance execution, troubleshooting, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement to support plant performance, food safety, and operational uptime.


Key responsibilities

  • Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities for production, packaging, and facility equipment.
  • Assign work orders, prioritize breakdowns, and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with plant safety policies and food safety standards.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment failures.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with Production, Quality, and Engineering teams.
  • Support equipment installations, upgrades, and capital projects.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records using a CMMS.
  • Drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support audits and corrective action follow-up.


Qualifications and skills

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience in food, beverage, or related manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and plant utility systems.
  • Experience working in a GMP-regulated environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics.
  • Computer proficiency including CMMS and Microsoft Office.


Compensation Data

The pay range for this position is $70,100 - $122,000 in Annual Salary. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company, and this range is set to continue to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate within the above range may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity. In addition, this position is also eligible to earn a performance-based incentive compensation.
