Responsibilities for a Maintenance Supervisor
  • • Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and manage the daily performance of the maintenance staff, ensuring a high standard of work and professional development.
  • • Preventive Strategy: Design and execute comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to maximize asset lifespan and mitigate unexpected downtime.
  • • Operational Oversight: Coordinate all corrective repairs and routine service requests, prioritizing tasks to maintain seamless facility operations.
  • • Compliance & Safety: Conduct regular site inspections to ensure all equipment and systems meet safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • • Resource Management: Oversee maintenance budgets, manage spare parts inventory, and maintain strong relationships with external vendors to optimize costs.
  • • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with department heads to schedule major projects and upgrades with minimal impact on daily productivity.
  • • Reporting: Maintain precise digital records of all maintenance activities, equipment health, and team KPIs.

Qualifications for a Maintenance Supervisor
  • • High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical training is highly valued as is degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related technical discipline.
  • • 3+ years in industrial or facility maintenance, including a minimum of 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • • Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • • Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals; comfortable using basic computer applications.
  • • In-depth understanding of OSHA regulations and industrial safety standards
