MAINTENANCE PROJECT MANAGER
Colorado — On-Site | Full-Time | $80,000–$100,000
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Project Manager to lead, grow, and represent our maintenance operations across Colorado. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends team management, route oversight, and direct customer relationships. The right person has been in the field — they understand what it takes to run a route, keep customers happy, and hold a team to a high standard. Experience in pool maintenance or a similar water-feature trade (ponds, water features, etc.) is a strong plus. If you are a people-first leader who takes pride in both your team and your customer relationships, we want to hear from you.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN
Team leadership & operations
- Lead, onboard, and retain a team of maintenance technicians — setting clear expectations and holding everyone accountable
- Drive performance through regular coaching, feedback, and development conversations
- Manage and optimize daily route scheduling — ensuring technicians are dispatched efficiently, stops are sequenced logically, and time on each route is maximized
- Own the CRM platform — keeping job records, customer notes, and scheduling data accurate and up to date
- Monitor KPIs: route completion rates, revenue per tech, labor costs, margins, and overall department profitability
- Identify operational inefficiencies across routes and implement lasting improvements
- Collaborate with ownership on budgeting, forecasting, and growth planning
- Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and pride in the work
Customer experience
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers — handling inquiries, scheduling, follow-ups, and concerns with professionalism and urgency
- Set and manage customer expectations around service schedules, scope of work, and pricing
- Resolve escalations quickly and effectively, turning problems into long-term loyalty
- Conduct follow-ups after service visits to ensure customer satisfaction
- Represent the company in a way that builds lasting relationships and drives repeat business and referrals
- Bridge communication between customers and the field team so nothing falls through the cracks
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3–6+ years of experience in a management role — maintenance, field operations, or a related service industry preferred
- Hands-on background as a technician or in a field role is a big plus — we want someone who knows what the work actually looks like
- Pool maintenance experience as a technician is highly valued — pond, water feature, or similar aquatic maintenance experience is equally relevant
- Experience managing and optimizing service routes — route efficiency, stop sequencing, and time management
- Proven ability to onboard, lead, and retain employees in a trade or field-based environment
- Strong customer-facing experience — managing expectations, building relationships, and handling tough conversations
- Solid grasp of business numbers — margins, labor costs, and what it takes to run a profitable operation
- Experience managing a CRM platform and keeping data clean
- Excellent communicator — equally comfortable with a technician in the field and a customer on the phone
- Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities without dropping the ball
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites across Colorado as needed
COMPENSATION & PERKS
- $80,000 – $100,000 base salary (DOE)
- Company vehicle provided or vehicle stipend available
- Paid time off (PTO)
- Paid holidays
