JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our client, a chemical manufacturing company, based in Cartersville, GA. This role is a blend of hands-on troubleshooting and leadership. On a typical day, you’ll oversee maintenance operations across all 7 production lines, quickly diagnosing and resolving mechanical and equipment issues to keep production running. You’ll work closely with production leadership to anticipate maintenance needs, implement preventative maintenance programs, and ensure equipment readiness—particularly within liquid filling systems. A major focus will be training and developing a small team of junior maintenance technicians, building their skillsets while establishing structure, processes, and SOPs to improve overall plant efficiency and reliability.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience as a Maintenance Manager or Senior Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills across production equipment (pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, filling systems, etc.)
- Working knowledge of PLC controls, basic PLC-related troubleshooting and electrical systems
- Ability to train and develop junior maintenance staff while remaining highly hands-on
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience with liquid filling or chemical manufacturing environments (especially overflow fillers) - Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9002) and SOP development
