The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of machinery, equipment, and facility systems. This role involves performing routine maintenance, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and extend asset lifespan. The Maintenance Engineer also supports continuous improvement initiatives, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize overall equipment performance.


Essential Functions

  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facility systems
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and system faults and implement effective solutions
  • Create, manage, and maintain accurate work order (WO) logs
  • Plan, schedule, and update preventive maintenance (PM) programs to ensure equipment reliability
  • Track maintenance activities, downtime, and repair history to support data-driven decisions
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergency maintenance needs
  • Ensure all maintenance work is properly documented, closed out, and compliant with internal procedures
  • Collaborate with operations and production teams to minimize disruptions and improve performance
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in maintenance processes and equipment efficiency
  • Assist with installation, testing, and commissioning of new equipment
  • Ensure that all maintenance tasks whether through outside vendors and/or internal team are following company and governmental requirements especially safety and sanitation.

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and drawings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Direct experience in prepreg, adhesive, and/or composites part manufacture.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, automation systems, or HVAC systems
  • Familiarity with maintenance management systems (CMMS)
