Our client, an industry leader in manufacturing, is seeking a Maintenance Electrical Mechanic to join their team. As a Maintenance Electrical Mechanic, you will be part of the Maintenance Department supporting the manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Electrical Mechanic

Location: Sterling Heights, MI

Pay Range: 28.00

Shift:
1st shift - 5:00am to 3:30pm
2nd shift - 4:00pm to 2:30am

What's the Job?

  • Perform skilled journey-level work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of electrical and electronic equipment used in an industrial stamping facility.
  • Test, modify, and troubleshoot operational electrical machinery, control equipment, and circuitry to support continuous improvement activities.
  • Install and maintain building electrical systems, power supply wiring, and conduit for machinery such as conveyors and programmable controllers.
  • Diagnose malfunctions in equipment including transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, and perform repairs accordingly.
  • Support safety, cleanliness, and orderliness within the Maintenance Department while adhering to safety regulations and policies.

What's Needed?

  • Mechatronics technician degree or equivalent experience in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of CNCs, stamping presses, PLCs, servo systems, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to work at heights up to 40 feet and work safely in an industrial environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain forklift, aerial, and confined space permits.
