Position: Mainframe System Programmer / Administrator
Location: Plano, TX (Onsite, 5 days/week)

We are looking for a strong Mainframe System Programmer/Administrator with hands-on experience in infrastructure software implementation and system-level support. This is not a COBOL development role but focuses on system programming and administration within a large-scale enterprise environment.
You will be part of an agile team working on enhancing, designing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology solutions across enterprise platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and support IBM mainframe software
- Work on infrastructure software implementation and system enhancements
- Manage and maintain z/OS and related tools
- Handle system monitoring using Dynatrace
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize technology processes
- Troubleshoot complex system issues and mitigate risks
- Drive improvements aligned with compliance, security, and business objectives
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Must Have
- 5+ years of Mainframe Systems Programming experience
- Strong expertise in z/OS, JCL, JES, SDSF, VSAM, and system utilities
- Hands-on experience with CA-7, Control-M/Control-N, and related tools
- Mandatory experience with SMP/E for software installation and deployment
- Experience with Dynatrace or similar monitoring tools
- Strong understanding of system deployment processes
- Scripting experience (REXX, Unix, Python, or similar)
Preferred
- Experience working in Agile environments
- Knowledge of tools like OPS/MVS, ACF2, Thruput Manager, etc.
- Exposure to Parallel Sysplex and z/OSMF workflows
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
