Mailroom Services Representative

Location: Concord, CA, 94520

Start Date: April 20th

Schedule: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

General Summary

Entry-level position responsible for posting high volume deposits and loan payments. Prepares work orders for the Operations Services team. Works all aspects of the mailroom, including providing postage services for other departments, delivering packages, and processing returned mail. Processes basic work orders requiring minimal member interaction. Responds to requests from internal staff in a courteous and professional manner. Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills and a high degree of processing accuracy.

Core Responsibilities

• Posts deposits and loan payments received via USPS.
• Scans member requests and creates MARS cases for Operations Services.
• Processes work orders including, but not limited to, address changes, verification of deposits, share certificate renewals, inactive accounts updates, check ordering, and requests for copies of checks and statements.
• Sorts and distributes all incoming and outgoing USPS mail and packages from service providers such as Federal Express and other vendors, ensuring that items are delivered to the correct addressee and confidential items are delivered unopened. Logs and date-stamps all incoming vendor packages.
• Prepares outgoing mail and packages for pick up by vendors and couriers for various departments. Weighs mail and affixes appropriate postage with a meter.
• Processes returned/undeliverable mail.
• Operates mailroom equipment such as postage meter, scanner, envelope opener, etc.
• Organizes mailroom daily to ensure it looks neat and it is clutter-free.
• Reviews various department exception reports.
• Maintains a good working knowledge of Credit Union policies, procedures, operational standards, and products and services.
• Stays current with emails, knowledgebase, and Intranet content.
• Completes all required security and regulatory training modules.
• Personal development which contributes to the work environment.
• Maintains complete confidentiality of member, employee, and Credit Union information.
• A high percentage of attendance is also an essential function of this position.

Physical Demands

• Work involves extensive use of computers, up to eight hours per day. Appropriate vision, dexterity, and other physical abilities are required.
• May include occasional pushing, pulling, or carrying objects weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to speak and present on the telephone and/or through digital means of communication, including but not limited to Zoom/Teams/or other video technologies.

This is a Contract position based out of Concord, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.20 - $27.78/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Concord,CA.
