How you'll make an impact in this role

  • Dual-Role Position & Travel: This position requires daily travel using a reliable vehicle to split time between two locations: the Bayley Building Mail Room and the St. Francis Flower & Gift Shop, working Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
  • Mail Room Operations: Responsibilities include daily runs to sort and deliver post office and interoffice mail, metering outgoing mail, and serving as back-up to the St. Francis Mail RoomClerk as needed.
  • Administrative Support: Maintain and order office supplies, and manage break room ordering and stocking for Bayley departments, including occasional FedEx shipping for small packages.
  • Retail and Cash Handling: Perform all cashiering duties, including A.M. opening procedures such as preparing cash drawers, completing the bank deposit, and maintaining the spreadsheet for daily business in the Gift Shop.
  • Customer Service and Inventory: Provide great customer service, assist with inventory management and prep (checking in and pricing merchandise), and handle floral in-take phone orders and in-hospital deliveries.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
    • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

What additional requirements you'll need

  • Preferred Skills: Candidates must demonstrate professionalism, organizational and critical thinking skills, possess basic math and money handling skills (including accurately counting cash drawers), and have the ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time, along with performing light lifting.
  • Required: Access to a reliable vehicle and the willingness to travel between the two sites on a daily basis.
