Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Machinist position based in Erie, PA. The Machinist will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of manual and CNC machining equipment such as Swiss Lathes CNC lathes and Mills to produce precision components. Daily tasks include setting up machines, reading technical drawings, programming CNC machines, inspecting finished products for quality, and performing routine equipment maintenance. The candidate will collaborate with the production team to ensure projects are completed efficiently and to specification.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in operating and programming CNC machines, as well as working with manual machining equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings, Master Cam a plus.
  • Experience with measurement tools, such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges, to ensure precision and quality
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting and performing routine maintenance on machining equipment
  • Understanding of material properties and machining processes, including milling, turning, and grinding
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and follow safety guidelines
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; vocational training or technical certification in machining is a plus
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing or production environment is strongly preferred
