Description:You will be the Machine Repair Mechanic for the Maintenance Team. Our team is responsible for maintaining, overhauling, and repairing a wide range of hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronically controlled factory machine tools and equipment.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Machine Repair Mechanic you will be responsible for ensuring operational readiness of critical machinery, diagnosing issues, and leading repair activities.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Diagnose, dismantle, and repair hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic machine tools.
- Perform overhauls and install additional equipment such as coolant pumps and lubrication systems.
- Lead and instruct one to two mechanics on assigned jobs.
- Maintain and modify liquid and gaseous oxygen and nitrogen carts, gauges, test benches, and storage tanks.
- Keep the work area clean, orderly, and compliant with safety standards.

Basic Qualifications:- Work from complicated blueprints for various machines.
- Knowledge of machine construction and functioning of various parts such as gears, transmissions, drive shaft, lubrication systems and pumps. Knowledge of machine hydraulic systems.
- Some knowledge of pneumatics.
- Ability to use a variety of precision instruments such as size blocks, Vernier height gauges and calipers, sine bars and optical tooling to line up various parts and make repairs
- US Citizenship required as this position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Desired Skills:Four (4) to five (5) years experience.
- Equivalent to completion of high school plus two to three years of trade training.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
