Machine Operator – 1st Shift

Schedule: First Shift | Start times as early as 5:30 AM or 6:30 AM

Industry: Manufacturing

We’re looking for a dependable Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you’ll operate and support manufacturing equipment used to produce seating and related components. This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone who values safety, quality, and consistency and wants to grow in a stable manufacturing environment.

• Operate, monitor, and perform basic maintenance on production machinery
• Set up machines and adjust settings to meet production requirements
• Inspect parts to ensure quality and specification compliance
• Read blueprints and use measuring tools (including tape measures) accurately
• Support daily production goals while following safety and quality standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement and team efficiency

• 1+ year of machine operation experience
• 1+ year of machine setup experience
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints
• Experience with punch press and sheet metal manufacturing
• Strong general labor and production skills
• Reliable attendance and a team‑oriented mindset

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Altamont, IL.

The pay range for this position is $17.31 - $19.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Altamont,IL.
