Machine Operator

Join a dynamic team where you will be involved in various stages of production, from laser marking to packaging, dressing, painting, grinding, CET printing, and stamping. Our client manufactures diamond blades and core bits for various industries, requiring flexibility and teamwork. You will be responsible for ensuring quality, adhering to standard operating procedures, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Responsibilities

• Safely lift 50 lbs or more with assistance when required.
• Read and follow written instructions in English.
• Verify correct part numbers and cross-reference with job orders.
• Work closely with experienced operators and follow directions accurately.
• Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and wear proper PPE at all times.
• Assist in training and helping out in various departments such as radius grinding, material picking, laser welding, and open arbor tasks.
• Maintain punctuality and a quality-focused mindset.
• Handle small parts to match core radius and pull materials to feed the production line.
• Operate laser welding machines and measure for cutting arbors with different patterns using laser cutters or machines.

• Basic computer skills and experience with Windows applications.
• Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset.
• Basic math skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and machine operation skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

• Open to learning and helping in various production departments.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Hand tool operation and assembly experience.
• Reliability and tenure are valued over experience.

Work Environment

The work environment includes warehouse conditions with erratic temperature control, subject to heat, cold, noise, dust, and other particles. It involves operating large equipment and machinery, including production machines and forklifts. Employees must wear steel-toed shoes and safety glasses, which are provided. Physical requirements include frequent lifting up to 35 lbs, standing/sitting for extended periods, and repetitive bending, reaching, and climbing.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Irvine, CA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
