Machine Operator

Machine Operators - 1st and 3rd Shift - 20/hr - Direct Placement

Responsibilities

• Set up extrusion machines according to the production schedule, which outlines the amount and specifics of parts needed.
• Perform die and roll changes as necessary.
• Conduct first and last article inspections and log data into Excel documents, using the metric system.
• Adjust machines if inspections reveal inaccuracies.
• Perform visual quality inspections, checking for color and shrinkage.
• Operate a forklift occasionally and lift up to 50 pounds, with team lifts and cranes available for heavier materials.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in machine operating and using hand and power tools.
• Minimum of 2 years average job tenure in manufacturing.
• Mechanical aptitude with a focus on machine operating.
• Ability to grow into an Extrusion Operator role.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with polypropylene and/or polyethylene plastics.
• Ability to navigate Excel efficiently.
• Prior leadership, supervision, or management experience is advantageous due to expected team retirements.

Work Environment

The work environment is clean but can reach up to 120 degrees in the summer. Shifts available include 1st shift (7AM-7PM, Monday-Thursday) and 3rd shift (7PM-7AM, Monday-Thursday). You will work four 12-hour shifts during certain periods and three 12-hour shifts with an additional 4-hour shift on Fridays during others.

This is a Permanent position based out of Greenville, OH.

The pay range for this position is $38688.00 - $41600.00/yr.
