Job Title: Machine Operator and Assembly Worker

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Machine Operator and Assembly Worker to perform crucial assembly and machinery tasks that help ensure water quality for people around the world. Experience in machine operation and packaging is highly valued. Candidates with at least 6 months of prior warehouse experience or equivalent are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitter and other machinery as required.
• Assemble components according to specifications.
• Label products accurately.
• Perform quality control checks to ensure product standards.
• Package products for shipment.
• Participate in minor equipment setup and operations.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of prior warehouse experience or equivalent.
• Proficiency in assembly and mechanical tasks.
• Experience in machine operation and packaging.
• Manual dexterity and good coordination.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in material handling is a plus.
• Capability to work in a clean and structured environment in teams of 2-4.
• Ability to adhere to a dress code (jeans or work pants) and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Possession of steel toe boots (to be supplied by the candidate).

Work Environment

This position operates in a clean, structured setting with teams of 2-4 people. The first shift runs from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing for a consistent schedule with potential overtime based on workload. Safety is a priority; while we provide safety glasses and gloves, you are responsible for your own steel toe boots.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ames, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
