Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Packaging Operator, where you will be responsible for efficiently monitoring downstream packaging and related capping and casing equipment. You will ensure quality standards are upheld by performing periodic package and case integrity tests. This role involves proper set-up and changeovers of equipment and supplies, as well as performing rework and sanitation duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Efficiently monitor and operate packaging and related capping and casing equipment.
  • Ensure quality standards by performing periodic package and case integrity tests.
  • Set up and changeover equipment and supplies properly.
  • Perform rework and sanitation duties as required.
  • Operate automated systems efficiently.
  • Troubleshoot problems using the computer touch screen.

Essential Skills

  • Proven attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and comprehend English work instructions.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts on your feet for the entire duration.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Production experience.
  • Experience in packaging, warehouse, or assembly environments.
  • Familiarity with GMP standards.

Why Work Here?

Employees are eligible for a $1,000 bonus for each month of employment until the plant shutdown in July 2026. For instance, an employee hired on July 1, 2025, who remains until July 31, 2026, will receive a lump sum bonus of $12,000.

Work Environment

Work in a fast-paced food production environment, monitoring the packaging line and products. Be prepared for strong odors and the physical demand of standing for 12+ hours.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tualatin, OR.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
