Purpose

The MAC Manager at Newark Liberty International Airport, ensures exceptional MAC brand standards, visual merchandising, and product presentation while supporting daily store operations. This role provides leadership during assigned shifts, coaches retail teams, and serves as a liaison with MAC brand partners to deliver brand-compliant customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive MAC brand standard execution, visual merchandising excellence, and product knowledge training; monitor compliance during assigned shifts.

  • Serve as MOD during shifts, ensuring operational readiness, resolving escalated issues, and representing store leadership across opening, peak, and closing periods.

  • Execute MAC inventory processes, including stock selection, seasonal transitions, and promotional merchandise planning; maintain optimal inventory levels and compliance with MAC guidelines.

  • Conduct MAC brand standard assessments; ensure product presentation and merchandising compliance; recommend corrective actions to store leadership.

  • Liaise with MAC brand partners and vendors regarding initiatives, seasonal requirements, and promotional needs; ensure timely execution of MAC-directed programs.

  • Deliver MAC-specific training for associates on product knowledge, brand storytelling, and customer engagement; monitor performance metrics and provide feedback to leadership.

  • Deliver exceptional service; coach associates on MAC product knowledge and engagement; resolve customer issues using sound judgment and motivate team performance.

  • Uphold MAC brand standards, maintain professional appearance, and report compliance status, merchandising execution, and customer insights to store leadership.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of retail and/or customer service experience, preferably with MAC or prestige beauty brands.

  • At least 2 years of supervisory or lead experience in retail or specialty retail environments.

  • MAC or prestige beauty brand experience strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in POS systems and retail management software.

  • Knowledge of inventory management, loss prevention, and visual merchandising principles.

  • Understanding of MAC product lines and ability to make customer recommendations.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain brand standards.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to train and develop associates on MAC brand standards and customer engagement.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve compliance challenges during shifts.

Schedule & Reporting

  • Reports to: Senior Director or Director of Retail Operations.

  • Classification: Exempt (FLSA).

  • Requires varied scheduling, including opening, peak, and closing shifts to monitor MAC brand execution and support operational teams.

  • Must maintain MAC professional appearance standards by wearing MAC products and presenting a well-groomed image.
