What You’ll Do

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Community Mobile Health Unit delivers professional nursing care through the application of clinical skills and processes to patients served through the School-Based Health and Community Mobile Health programs. This position functions as both a clinical care provider and operational support lead within the mobile unit environment. Under the supervision of a physician, nurse practitioner, or advanced practice provider, the LPN provides direct patient care, supports patient registration and front-end workflow functions, and ensures safe, compliant mobile clinic operations. The LPN serves as the primary clinical support staff on the mobile unit and works collaboratively with the provider to maintain quality, safety, and efficiency of care delivery. This role requires driving and operating the SBH Mobile Health Unit. Required vehicle operation certification will be obtained within the first 30 days of employment and maintained thereafter. The LPN exemplifies organizational values by providing compassionate, respectful, and effective care while adhering to the scope of practice outlined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.                                

                                                                                                                      

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Practical Nursing.
  • LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of Ohio required
  • Experience in a similar capacity 1-2 years preferred. Medical Office experience

 

The Certified-Registered Medical Assistant (MA) provides professional care through the application of clinical skills and processes to assigned patients. This role will also assist patients, clinic staff or other clinical staff to schedule, pre-register register for all services at Adena Health System. This position may be responsible to enter diagnosis, tests and check orders for completeness and medical necessity. This individual provides direct care and works collaboratively with other members of the care team to achieve optimal patient care. This incumbent has access to confidential patient information, provides direct patient care, and if functioning clinically will do so under the direct supervision of the nurse practitioner and/or physician. 

 

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program

  • Registered through American Allied Health (AAH), American Medical Technologists (AMT), Certified through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or National Healthcareer Association (NHA).
  • 1-2 years’ experience in medical office or similar capacity.
