Toutle Lake School District is seeking a qualified and passionate educator to serve as a Long-Term Substitute Career & Technical Education (CTE) Agriculture Teacher. This position supports student learning in agricultural science, natural resources, and environmental systems while promoting leadership development through FFA and hands-on instruction.
Compensation: Compensated at the rate of $175.00 per day for the first 20 days. After 20 days, the position will transition to where they fall on the salary schedule for the remainder of the assignment. $55,314-112,564 Depending on experience and education.

Not eligible to substitute for other certificated teaching positions during assignment.
Essential Functions
Teach CTE agriculture courses aligned with Washington State standards.
Create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment.
Maintain accurate student and program records.
Assess and monitor student progress.
Communicate with students, families, and staff regarding progress and expectations.
Support student leadership leadership organizations such as FFA, as assigned.
Supervise students in classroom and school settings.
Other Functions
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by school administration, including participation in staff meetings, professional development, school events, and student supervision as needed.
Qualifications:
Valid Washington State Teaching Certificate and background in Agriculture.
Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
Ability to integrate hands-on learning, leadership development, and career readiness skills into instruction.
Ability to work collaboratively with staff and support district goals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of agricultural education and FFA.
