As a Logistics Specialist at Phalanx Logistics Solutions you’ll play a critical role in ensuring freight moves seamlessly from start to finish. You’ll focus on carrier procurement and retention, shipment execution, and delivering exceptional service.

What You’ll Do

Carrier Procurement & Retention

• Build and grow relationships with carriers through calls, online load boards, and networking efforts.
• Qualify, onboard, and retain carriers that meet company and customer standards.
• Develop partnerships for long-term, repeat business and identify new opportunities within the existing carrier network.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within internal databases.

Shipment Execution

• Analyze the needs of each shipment to ensure proper carrier and equipment selection.
• Negotiate competitive carrier rates while balancing service quality and profitability.
• Use the Transportation Management System (TMS) to send shipping documents, confirm carrier acceptance, and track shipments.
• Monitor freight from pickup through delivery, communicating proactively with all stakeholders.
• Solve problems quickly and professionally when service disruptions occur.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth, on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for process improvement.
• Assist with ad-hoc projects or duties as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

Comfort following standard operating procedures (SOPs) across Operations and Account Management.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new software systems.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
