Logistics & Customs Manager

Salary: $100,000 – $125,000 + Bonus

Kelly Services is seeking an experienced Logistics & Customs Manager to join a growing luxury goods organization with a strong presence across retail, wholesale, and e-commerce channels. This position will play a critical role in overseeing logistics, transportation, warehousing, and customs compliance operations across the U.S. business while partnering closely with global teams.

Key Responsibilities

Customs Compliance & Operations

  • Ensure full compliance with all applicable U.S. customs regulations, including CBP, Fish & Wildlife, Lacey Act, TSCA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and assess operational impacts.
  • Oversee all import, export customs activities, and ensure adherence to internal and external compliance standards.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve customs procedures and documentation.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Review and validate customs declarations and supporting documentation.
  • Manage post-entry processes, duty reviews, and special customs programs such as Temporary Import Bonds (TIBs).
  • Maintain audit-ready customs records and support internal and external audits.
  • Utilize CBP systems, including ACE, to support customs operations.
  • Identify, document, and resolve customs compliance risks and operational issues.

Transportation Management

  • Coordinate domestic and international transportation activities.
  • Manage relationships with transportation providers and logistics partners.
  • Optimize transportation costs while maintaining service excellence.
  • Support logistics planning for retail operations, events, marketing initiatives, store openings, and visual merchandising projects.
  • Monitor transportation KPIs, including cost, service performance, and sustainability metrics.
  • Review transportation and customs invoices and ensure accuracy.
  • Manage logistics claims, disputes, and vendor performance issues.

3PL & Warehousing Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Monitor warehouse performance, service levels, and costs.
  • Validate invoices and support cost-control initiatives.
  • Participate in warehouse and logistics improvement projects, including process enhancements and systems integrations.
  • Ensure operational alignment with global logistics standards and best practices.

Non-Valuable Goods Logistics

  • Manage inventory levels and replenishment of non-valuable goods.
  • Coordinate distribution activities supporting retail, wholesale, marketing, and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee order management and ensure timely deliveries.
  • Improve and document logistics processes to support scalability and service excellence.

Cross-Functional Logistics Support

  • Support business growth initiatives from a logistics and supply chain perspective.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across Operations, Retail, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Serve as a key liaison between U.S. operations and international teams.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in logistics, transportation, customs compliance, or supply chain operations.
  • Experience supporting import/export activities and customs compliance strongly preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. import/export regulations and customs procedures.
  • Experience working with customs brokers and freight forwarders.
  • Familiarity with CBP systems, including ACE.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with ERP, transportation management, or warehouse management systems is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary of $100,000 – $125,000 plus bonus opportunity.
