Logan Campus Manager - Logan Swim Club 2026

Description

The Logan Campus Manager will contribute to the vision, mission and values of the Youngstown Area Jewish Federation by supervising day to day operations of the Jewish Community Center of Youngstown Logan Campus, ensuring efficient and effective operation of pool facilities and supervision of staff with standards of excellence. This is a working supervisory position requiring weekend and holiday work. The seasonal position will begin in May and end after Labor Day.

1. Oversee daily operations of JCC Logan Campus, including supervision of lifeguards, welcome desk staff, snack shack staff, and environmental services staff in coordination with department supervisors
2. Coordinate with department supervisors to formulate work schedules, ensuring proper coverage during operational hours, overseeing timecard accuracy, and submitting timesheets for bi-weekly payroll
3. Bear primary responsibility for the highest standards of safety and well-being of all members and guests at Logan Campus.
4. Communicate and cooperate with colleagues, members, and volunteers as part of the Aquatics team, including attending and/or facilitating staff meetings and trainings as needed
5. Coordinate with Maintenance department to ensure proper operating condition of all pools including chemical levels, equipment care, and repairs as needed
6. Coordinate with Environmental Services department to ensure the general cleanliness & appearance of all pool property, including lifeguard office, bathrooms, Snack Shack, and parking lot in accordance with all appropriate standards of health, safety, and licensing regulations
7. Coordinate with Security Department to maintain safety and security of members and visitors, by enforcing pool safety policies in a positive & courteous manner and reporting all disciplinary problems and accidents to the appropriate supervisors
8. Coordinate with staff to ensure that JCC sponsored events as well as outside rentals are appropriately staffed and executed with standards of excellence
9. Develop meaningful relationships with members through supervision of on-going activities and day-to-day interactions, ensuring excellent customer service and member & guest satisfaction
10. Accept any and all other assignments as required by supervisor

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Current Lifeguard Certification or willing to become certified
• First Aid & CPR Certified (highly preferred)
• 3-5 years of management & supervisory experience
• Demonstrate strong leadership & effective communication skills
• 40 hour work week during operational season, including nights, weekends & holidays
• Must enjoy working with young adults and have the ability to work under pressure while providing our members with excellent customer service during every visit
• Must be able to problem solve, make decisions quickly and be able to hold staff and members accountable of pool policies
