Locum Urologist Opportunity – Full-Time Coverage Needed

We are actively seeking a Board-Certified Urologist to provide full-time locum coverage at a busy facility experiencing a current provider shortage. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician looking for a consistent schedule with a mix of outpatient care, procedures, and inpatient responsibilities.

Position Overview

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Clinic Hours: Monday–Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
• Call Schedule: 24-hour call (7:00 AM – 7:00 AM), flexible based on provider availability
• Coverage Need: Full-time preferred due to current staffing gaps (one provider down, another departing in July)

Practice Setting

• Facility Type: Level III Trauma Center
• Patient Population: Adults (18+)
• Daily Volume: Approximately 20 patients per day
• Care Mix:Primarily outpatient clinic
• Inpatient consults
• Procedures
• Post-operative rounding

Procedures & OR Details

• Bread and butter urology cases
• OR block time: 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM (no case limit)
• Limited robotic access (typically not available on urology days)
• Additional procedure details pending

Support Staff & Unit Details

• Providers: 1 Full-Time Urologist currently on staff
• Support Team:2 LPNs
• 2 CNAs/CMAs
• 1 Patient Representative
• Facility Setup:4 exam rooms
• Outpatient-focused acuity

Requirements

• Board Certified in Urology
• Active New York medical license (in hand)
• BLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience required
