Location: 299 Mulberry Drive, Mechanicsburg, PA 17050
Work Schedule: Night Shift: Sunday-Thursday 5:00pm-1:30am, overtime as needed
Starting Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour + $3 shift differential
Responsibilities
· Maneuver carts loaded with doors and door components
· Read/Interpret load ID list to sort product by customer, length, and width to create correct cart stacks
· Stage doors and door components in designated truck bays
· Perform final quality inspection of all doors and door components before product is loaded onto truck
· Load doors of various weights and sizes by hand into the designated truck trailers, while adhering to loading procedures to sort and secure products
· Conduct pre-shift inspection of the forklift to ensure safety and operational compliance
· Provide safe operation of a sit-down forklift throughout the facility, as needed
· Maintain a safe and clean working environment
· Help with minor door repairs and general housekeeping
· Maintain an adequate level of product and forklift knowledge
· Move components and materials safely and report issues to leadership
· Wear PPE such as composite/steel toed shoes, safety glasses, earplugs, gloves (per job function), and high visibility clothing.
Qualifications
· Must be at least 18 Years Old
· Work safely and follow all plant rules
· Show initiative, be a self-starter
· Communicate, in English, in a clear and effective manner
· Work independently, as well as part of a team, and have end of shift flexibility
· Forklift knowledge and safety procedures
· Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
· Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have ability to multi-task
· Regular attendance and timeliness are an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service
· Ability to use an RF scanner
· Ability to use a pallet jack safely
· Ability to wrap pallets and use ratchet straps to ensure load stability and product protection during transit and storage
· Preferably one year experience in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
· Preferably one year experience operating a forklift
