Litigation Paralegal – Trained, Supported, Valued

Burg Law, P.A

What You're Walking Into

Burg Law is a niche Florida law firm focused on community association law, real estate, and civil litigation. It is a specialized practice with consistent, growing demand in one of the fastest-developing regions in the state. We are a small, tight team that does serious work without the dysfunction that plagues most firms. No politics. No micromanagement. Direct feedback, real appreciation, and a culture where good work is actually noticed.

We train our people, support them when things get complicated, and invest in their long-term success. This isn't trial by fire. It's a place where you're set up to do your best work and recognized when you do.

If you're a skilled Florida litigation paralegal who wants to be genuinely useful, work with clients who value what you do, and build your career at a firm that actually respects your expertise, this role is built for you.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll work directly alongside two of our attorneys on active litigation in a niche practice that touches community association law, real estate, and civil litigation. Here's what that looks like day to day.

  • Preparing pleadings, motions, and discovery tailored to the specific facts of each case, not copied from forms
  • Preparing notices of hearing, notices of appearance, defaults, and summons
  • Filing with the court via Florida e-Portal and recording in the Official Records
  • Compiling and organizing filings with exhibits for e-filing and recording
  • Researching governing documents, deeds, and liens in the Official Records
  • Scheduling and coordinating hearings, depositions, and meetings
  • Communicating with judicial assistants, the Clerk's Office, and other outside offices
  • Tracking service of process and managing deadlines across multiple active files
  • Keeping client files current and organized in Dropbox using the firm's file naming system
  • Providing direct attorney support and moving matters forward with minimal supervision

What We're Looking For

  • 3 or more years of Florida litigation paralegal experience
  • Hands-on experience with Florida e-Portal and Official Records recording
  • Comfortable drafting from scratch, not just filling in templates
  • Organized, deadline-driven, and able to manage multiple files simultaneously

This role requires prior Florida civil litigation experience. If you are transitioning into legal work or do not have hands-on civil litigation paralegal experience in a Florida law firm, this is not the right fit at this time.

What You Get

  • Competitive salary of $60,000 to $80,000 based on experience
  • Meaningful bonus potential tied to performance
  • Health insurance
  • 401(k)
  • Reasonable hours with high expectations during them and genuine respect for your time outside the office
  • Real training and investment in your professional development from day one
  • A team you'll actually enjoy working with

Location: Downtown Panama City, FL. This is an in-office role. We believe in being present, working closely together, and building something as a team. Remote work or hybrid would be considered once candidate shows proficiency in office.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • 401(k) matching
  • Flexible schedule
  • Health insurance
