Litigation Paralegal – Personal Injury
Location: Salt Lake City, UT (Hybrid)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
About the Opportunity
We are partnering with a well-respected boutique personal injury law firm in Salt Lake City seeking a highly skilled Litigation Paralegal to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who brings both pre-litigation and litigation experience and is confident managing cases from inception through resolution.
This firm offers a collaborative, fast-paced environment where paralegals play a critical role in the success of each case. The right candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and able to provide a high level of client service while managing multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage personal injury cases from pre-litigation through litigation, including full case lifecycle ownership
- Handle pre-litigation matters from inception, including file setup, claim initiation, and insurance coordination
- Prepare and organize pleadings, discovery, and litigation documents
- Prepare comprehensive settlement demands
- Collect and review medical records and billing documentation
- Communicate directly with clients regarding case status and treatment with empathy and professionalism
- Coordinate with attorneys on case strategy, deadlines, and trial preparation
- Track deadlines, filings, and case activity using systems such as Filevine and Google Calendar
- Coordinate with courts, opposing counsel, insurance adjusters, and third-party vendors
- Conduct client, witness, and expert communications and interviews
- Maintain accurate and thorough case documentation
- Provide administrative and case support including data entry, document management, and client communications
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ year of personal injury litigation or insurance defense experience
- Strong knowledge of pre-litigation processes, including case setup and insurance claims handling
- Experience supporting litigation from start to finish
- Proven ability to prepare settlement demands and legal documentation
- Strong, empathetic client communication skills, especially over the phone
- Experience with case management systems and electronic filing
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Must currently reside in Utah
