Well respected law firm hiring full time hybrid Litigation Paralegal
Responsibilities
- Preparing litigation documents
- Drafting correspondence and memoranda
- Setting appointments, meetings and depositions
- Preparing deposition and trial exhibits
- Document editing / light word processing (paralegal must process her/his own work)
- Legal research and cite-checking
- Factual investigation
- Contact with clients and potential clients
- Coordinating updates and revisions to the firm website
- Filing and serving legal documents (electronically and in hard copy)
- Managing and organizing data and documents, creating and managing litigation databases
- Search and retrieval of electronic discovery from electronic databases and other sources
- Management of administrative/calendar/records
- Other responsibilities may include general office functions, such as photocopying, scanning, and answering telephones
Qualifications
- Need someone with strong overall case management skills
- At minimum need someone with filing management skills – doing the actual ECF uploading
- Paralegals at Joseph Saveri are expected to take on a much bigger role when it comes to filings than just calendaring the deadline and waiting for the attorney to give to them to finalize
- Candidates also need to be prepared during interview how to answer depo related questions, discovery related questions
- Cite checking experience
- Done TOAs/TOCs
- Independent handling of exhibits for filings and depos (candidates that are used to associates gathering this have been passed on previously)
- Need to be familiar with Relativity/Everlaw and general document management systems
- Trial prep and trial experience
Pay range and compensation package
$85K - $120K Regular business hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Discretionary bonus 401k after 1st year, 3% match Holiday pay Full benefits
