Role Description

Lasher seeks an experienced litigation legal assistant (secretary) for its busy and thriving Commercial/Business Litigation and Labor & Employment practices. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a respected litigation practice. Candidates will be skilled in managing and prioritizing multiple cases with complex dockets; management of attorneys’ dockets and adherence to case schedules (timely confirmation of motions, etc.); ability to coordinate discovery production; ability to organize for heavy motions practice, mediation, and trials. Candidates must have experience in assisting lawyers in preparing a case for filing, for mediation/settlement, dispositive motion practice and trial. Candidates must be detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and stay on task and they must have exceptional English language skills. Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Legal Assistance and Legal Document Preparation
  • Experience in Litigation and foundational knowledge of Law
  • Strong Administrative Assistance and Calendaring skills
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in legal software and document management systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and support multiple attorneys
  • Prior experience in a law firm specializing in litigation is preferred
