Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Civil Litigation Attorney with a minimum of five (5) years of litigation experience to join our growing legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing civil litigation matters from inception through trial, possess strong analytical and advocacy skills, and be licensed and in good standing to practice law in the State of Florida.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a diverse caseload of civil litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution.
  • Draft and respond to pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare case analyses, litigation strategies, and risk assessments.
  • Handle all aspects of discovery, including depositions, written discovery, and expert witness coordination.
  • Attend hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and court appearances.
  • Prepare cases for trial and serve as lead or second-chair trial counsel as needed.
  • Negotiate settlements and advise clients regarding litigation risks and outcomes.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, courts, and experts.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable court rules, deadlines, and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to achieve favorable client outcomes.


Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of civil litigation experience.
  • Demonstrated experience handling cases independently through all phases of litigation.
  • Experience taking and defending depositions.
  • Strong motion practice and courtroom advocacy skills.
  • Trial experience preferred.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and analytical abilities.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and client-relations skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Commercial litigation
  • Business disputes
  • Construction litigation
  • Insurance defense
  • Real estate litigation
