Senior Litigation Attorney (Personal Injury)

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • A well-established and growing plaintiff-side law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Attorney to lead and manage complex personal injury cases from inception through trial. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a robust caseload, drive case strategy, and contribute meaningfully to firm growth and leadership. Drive strong case outcomes and contribute to firm revenue growth by demonstrating leadership, initiative, and consistent execution

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Litigation & Case Strategy

  • Manage a full caseload of personal injury litigation matters
  • Draft and review pleadings, motions, and discovery
  • Conduct depositions, hearings, and trial proceedings
  • Develop case strategy to maximize settlements and verdict outcomes
  • Prepare clients for all phases of litigation

Leadership & Team Oversight

  • Supervise and mentor legal support staff
  • Provide training and guidance to improve team performance
  • Identify operational gaps and implement process improvements
  • Participate in leadership initiatives and departmental planning

Client Experience

  • Maintain strong communication with clients throughout the lifecycle of their case
  • Address escalated matters with professionalism and urgency
  • Ensure a high standard of client satisfaction and responsiveness

Operations & Compliance

  • Ensure timely and accurate case management within CRM systems
  • Monitor workflows and documentation for quality and compliance
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve efficiency and outcomes


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active Bar admission in Maryland (Virginia and/or DC a plus)
  • At least 5 years of personal injury litigation experience, including trial work
  • Proven ability to manage cases independently through trial
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and courtroom skills
  • Demonstrated leadership or team management experience preferred
  • High level of professionalism, ethics, and accountability
