Litigation Associate

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Associate Attorney to join its busy litigation practice, with a primary focus on medical malpractice defense. Key Responsibilities:

• Defend healthcare providers, hospitals, and medical professionals in medical malpractice and related litigation matters.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and draft high-quality pleadings, motions, discovery, and briefs.
• Analyze complex factual and legal issues and develop effective litigation strategies.
• Manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
• Take ownership of assignments and work independently while collaborating with senior attorneys as needed.

Qualifications:

• Active Illinois State Bar license in good standing.
• 2–5 years of litigation experience, with medical malpractice defense experience preferred.
• Outstanding legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with proven attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, and manage competing priorities effectively.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of responsibility for work product and case progression.
