Position Summary
The Litigation Adjuster is responsible for the end-to-end management of complex and litigated bodily injury claims, including investigation, evaluation, negotiation, and resolution.
This role requires a proactive, analytical professional who can confidently manage high-exposure claims while maintaining a strong focus on customer service and professionalism. The ideal candidate brings deep litigation experience and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage high-severity and complex claims, including litigated files, through resolution
- Deliver a customer-focused claims experience with professionalism and responsiveness
- Conduct thorough investigations, including:
- Coverage analysis
- Liability determination
- Damage evaluation
- Review of legal pleadings and documentation
- Collaborate with Claims Manager and defense counsel on complex cases
- Develop and execute strategic action plans to proactively resolve claims
- Establish and maintain accurate claim reserves reflecting financial exposure
- Negotiate settlements with plaintiff attorneys, insurance carriers, and claimants (represented and non-represented)
- Review medical records and property damage estimates to assess exposure
- Identify and engage external resources (e.g., independent adjusters, appraisers, investigators)
- Monitor and control costs associated with claim resolution
- Address contractual indemnification and additional insured coverage issues
- Recognize and refer claims to the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) and/or Subrogation when appropriate
- Maintain detailed and accurate claim file documentation
- Adapt to changing priorities and support team objectives as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience handling complex bodily injury claims
- 3+ years of experience managing litigated claims
- Oklahoma Adjuster License required (or ability to obtain within 60 days)
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus, but not required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-standard claims systems

Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range:
Starting compensation: $75K – $85K annually, commensurate with experience
